I’ll be the very first in my family members to earn an university level, which’s something I hold very near my heart.
My household and I moved to the United States in 2014 We picked Memphis as our second home to begin fresh and build a much better future.
When I graduated high school in 2020, I chose to join the Army Reserve so I could function permanent to help sustain my household financially. In the process, my moms and dads constantly reminded me of the value of an university degree. Truthfully, I fought with the choice between choosing work over school.
That changed when I discovered the College of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I can earn my level 100 % online from an accredited, across the country recognized Carnegie R 1 university. The versatility of the program made it feasible to stabilize work, life, and education. Once I enrolled, I knew I made the right choice.
As an on the internet pupil, I remained included with campus life with career fairs and signing up with pupil companies like the Culture of Personnel Management. I wanted to get the most out of my college experience and get in touch with people who shared my passion for human resources.
Last November, I released to Kuwait, with a month left of loss term. Many thanks to the support and structure of UofM Global, I was able to end up strong, even making the Dean’s Checklist. I’m taking 4 classes while serving on active duty, and I’m pleased to claim I’ll be finishing in May.
Being able to offer my country, sustain my family members, and make my level suggests the world to me. I really feel prepared to handle whatever follows.
